Production Support - Etching Associate

We currently have an opening in our Production department for a Production Support - Etching Associate. No experience required, WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON.

Production Support - Etching Associate - Essential Duties

The primary responsibility of Production Support - Etching Associate is to operate the CLC Icon Laser to etch required information onto specified tools / blanks and then deliver etched tools / blanks to proper machines as indicated. This position will also perform various activities related to Production Support which may include (but not be limited to): labeling, packaging, and tool prep/wash.

Additional duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to transportation of tool trays on carts to predetermined areas, visual inspections, providing on-the-job training or instruction to others. As well as, other duties as requested.

Experience & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with a diverse workgroup.
• Ability to measure using micrometers
• Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of job flow.
• General knowledge of labeling and packaging techniques.
• Manual dexterity to handle large quantities of large and small tools with sharp edges without causing damage or personal injury.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to be detail oriented.
  
  

Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. This position requires regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Other requirements are:

• Must be able to ambulate safely in a manufacturing environment, while pushing a tool cart.
• Must have flexibility of hands and fingers in order to handle tools and tool trays safely.
• Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, ability to differentiate colors on gages and blueprints, and depth perception.
• Ability to lift and carry items of varying weight not to exceed 45 lbs.
  
  

Wage & Schedules

We have a position available on the following shift, with a minimum base rate of $17.00/hour.

1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Working Conditions

Production Support - Etching Associate will work in a variety of settings, including the following:

• Warehouse, Packaging, and Production areas that have:
• moderate noise levels
• climate control
• machines and tools that will result in contact with natural oils, synthetic oils, and/or various grinding dusts.
