Primarily
responsible for supporting the Principal Managers with any tasks required
during day-to-day operational activities involving our principal partner
suppliers along with directly managing some principal (supplier) relationships
directly.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with all assigned Principals (suppliers) by preparing and attending trade shows, technical seminars/symposiums or office visits
Assist the Principal Manager with fulfilling Principal (supplier) requests including gathering and providing any required information such as targets; product reports/information pipeline, sales by volume and sample information/follow up
Assist the Principal Manager focus on the Principal’s (suppliers) key market areas by assisting with market maps, product recommendations, and any other required information being provided to Customer Service Representatives and Technical Sales Representatives
Respond to requests for special customer pricing from the sales team in a prompt manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Enter special customer pricing in relevant systems (e.g. Sales Force)
Maintain open lines of communication; enlisting the assistant from Principal technical contacts to fulfill and respond to technical inquires submitted by IMCD customers
Assist and coordinate new product introductions/launches by the Principal
Work closely with Principal Manager and other resources to maximize contribution margins of assigned lines
Day to day management of assigned minor Principals (suppliers).
Skills:
Ensure the timely and accurate flow of information from Principal to the Sales Group and back
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with assigned Principal’s and Customers
Escalate and engage Principal Managers where appropriate to ensure that they are communicated with on a “need to know” basis
Maintain working a knowledge of products and applications
Coordinate the timely progression of action items directed from sales to marketing
Provide special pricing quotations to the sales team in a prompt manner, while maintaining pricing strategy, structure and profitability targets
Actively seeks continuous improvement and self-development
Prioritize and manage time effectively to meet internal & external customer expectations and deadlines
Effectively and creatively solves problems: assess the situation, have clear understanding of request to help obtain and determine root cause and assign corrective action.
Ability to adapt and shift directions when priority situations arise.
Required
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Chemistry, business, Marketing, or Finance degrees
One to two years’ experience in related field
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in the chemical or polymer industries
Experience in distribution

This job
currently operates in Westlake, OH.
This is a
full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise directed. Additional hours may be
required as needed.
Travel will be required, up to 15%
