  • Lead the development and execution of project-specific safety plans, including emergency action plans and hazard assessments.
  • Conduct daily safety observations, weekly inspections, and monthly audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate safety orientations, toolbox talks, and stand-downs for all site personnel.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to integrate safety into planning and execution.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations; develop corrective actions and detailed reports.
  • Maintain safety documentation including inspection logs, training records, and regulatory postings.
  • Ensure availability and proper use of PPE, first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, spill kits, and other safety equipment.
  • Support the coordination of CCIP (Contractor Controlled Insurance Program) compliance and loss prevention efforts.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and risk assessments for high-hazard activities.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and corporate safety leadership.

Qualifications/ Required Experience

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health related field; and 5 year’s job experience in construction safety. Applicants may apply with 5-7 years equivalent job experience in construction industry with collateral role in safety.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Procore
  • OSHA Construction 30-Hour Training
  • OSHA 500 & 510
  • Current First-Aid/CPR/AED
  • Excellent communication, planning, organization, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • An ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and client organizations.
  • Self-motivated/ capable of working independently without direct supervision.

Walk and to access all areas of the jobsite/project multiple times daily which may require.

Climbing stairs up to 5 stories

Climb Ladders up to 40’

Climbing temporary stair systems or walking scaffolding systems.

Use of PPE Harness system as required by OSHA as needed to access and inspect the work.

Ability to walk open floors or roofs

Accessing excavations by stepping into the excavation or via ladder as needed.

Walking steep slopes or rough, uneven ground including on soil, stone, rock, mud etc.

Must be capable of working in a variety of physical positions which include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, walking, and driving.

Must be able to lift, carry or otherwise move or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Frequent talking and the ability to express and exchange ideas by means of language.

Regular hearing and the ability to perceive the nature of sounds.

The employee frequently views a computer monitor and frequently uses a computer keyboard, iPad, touch screens and the like

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly required to be mobile, and the employee occasionally may travel both short and long distances via a variety of conveyances.
