What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Services Associate position at IMC Companies LLC?
Work Schedule Comments: Generally, Monday thru Friday, 9am-6pm
Position Overview: Process weekly Independent Contractor (IC) Settlements. This position also requires and maintains a high level of customer service for both internal and external sources.
Qualified internal candidates will receive priority consideration. Please note that this position has a fixed hourly pay range, which cannot be exceeded.
Essential Job Functions:
• Process settlements using drayage, fuel purchases, recurring chargebacks and necessary adjustments.
• Utilize and update various software applications to maintain and generate IC settlements.
• Review and validate account balances for accuracy and inclusion in settlements where required.
• Set-up and maintain escrow accounts and related recurring IC chargebacks.
• Process Region-provided adjustment to settlements for driver-related chargebacks or deposits.
• Generate deposit batches, conduct manual loads and issue EFS checks for settlement-related items.
• Distribute weekly settlement documents to ICs and approved Region personnel.
• Process final settlement and escrow releases in accordance with Region’s IC Augmentation Agreement.
• Enter adjustments for terminated ICs to ensure escrow accounts are closed into accounts payable.
Other Job Functions:
• As needed, create new IC vendor records and assign fuel cards or WEX 6.5 cards.
• Verify and review IC banking information to conduct pre-notes for direct deposits or WEX 6.5 cards.
• Issue EFS checks for HR requested company driver related pay items.
• Annually, review and validate ICs’ chargebacks and deposits in preparation for completion of 1099s.
• Assist with other Driver Services functions as needed.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
• Experience in payroll, accounting or finance desired, but not mandatory.
• Ten-key ability and knowledge of Great Plains desired, but not mandatory.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization, time management, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills with the capacity to manage high volumes of emails and phone calls.
• Ability to work under pressure, solve problems and multitask with meticulous attention to detail.
• Can collaborate in a team environment and perform job duties with minimal supervision.
