Head of Human Resources (Manager/Director DOE)
A growing real estate property and asset management client of ours is seeking a hands-on and strategic Head of Human Resources to lead all aspects of the HR function. This role serves as the senior HR leader for the organization, partnering closely with executive leadership to build scalable people programs, support organizational growth, and foster a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, payroll, benefits, compliance, compensation, and training & development
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational planning, employee engagement, and workforce strategy
- Develop and improve HR policies, programs, and processes that support business objectives
- Oversee payroll administration, employee benefits, 401(k), leave management, and related compliance requirements
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Lead talent acquisition efforts and strengthen recruiting, onboarding, and employee development programs
- Support managers with coaching, performance management, and employee relations matters

Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of progressive Human Resources experience with increasing responsibility
- Experience leading multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, recruiting, compliance, payroll, and benefits
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred
- Experience in real estate, property management, construction, professional services, or multi-location operations is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience. Compensation above this range may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
