Blaster - 2nd Shift (2:15pm-10:45pm)

About Us: For nearly 70 years, Toefco Engineering LLC continues to stand behind our coating solutions. During that time we have engineered spray coating solutions for nearly any component you can think of; from tiny O rings to massive holding tanks we've done it all. We've even spray-coated all the hardware in the Statue of Liberty during its restoration from 1984-1986 with our specialty corrosion-resistant coatings. Throughout the years we have made significant infrastructure and technological investments to ensure our growth and commitment to delivering exceptionally coated products.

Job Summary

Performs blasting/mechanical cleaning and any chemical pre-cleaning prior to blasting necessary to supply our internal and external customers with high quality, clean surface for their parts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads process sheets to determine customer specifications
• Operates blaster using appropriate material and blasting portion of parts as outlined by the customer
• Moves parts to and from blasting area
• Checks and maintains all guns, air hoses, gauges, nozzles, part carts, glass, and turntables for wear and damage daily
• Maintains a clean work area
• Fills out process sheets for each job
• Stars up and shuts down all blast area equipment according to procedure
• Responsible for quality of work in blast area to ensure customer specifications are met
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Moves 10-50 lbs. across work area on a repetitive basis
• Remain in a stationary position on a continual basis for duration of shift
• Works overtime as required
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply reasoning and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  
  

Training and Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training.
