Position Overview

Imagine Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to provide high-quality educational instruction to students within an assigned grade level or subject area. This role focuses on delivering engaging lessons, supporting student growth, and fostering a positive learning environment that promotes both academic and character development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective, engaging instruction tailored to student needs
• Assess student progress using research-based methods and provide corrective feedback
• Re-teach concepts as necessary to ensure mastery of learning objectives
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and fellow educators to support student success
• Implement approved curriculum and required instructional modifications
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and administrative documentation
• Apply proactive classroom management and discipline strategies
• Stay current with educational research and best practices
• Model positive character traits and support student character development
• Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• State teaching certification with appropriate endorsement
• Pre-service experience required for certification

Background Check Required through Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse: The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse (Clearinghouse) is a first-in-the-nation enterprise system for background screening results of individuals required by law to undergo screening for employment in positions that provide services to vulnerable populations, as mandated by section 435.12, Florida Statutes. https://info.flclearinghouse.com

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of diverse learning styles and instructional strategies
• Familiarity with state and federal education regulations
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Active role involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and 30 pounds occasionally
• Requires visual acuity and mobility to support classroom activities
