The Program Director possesses an ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Position Summary
The Program Manager, School-Based Programs coordinates multi-site youth programming, reports to the Executive Director, and works closely with the co-facilitators, volunteers, school staff, and community partners. This role focuses on program development, implementation, quality assurance, and participant progress tracking to ensure safe, engaging, and outcomes-driven programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily program operations across sites; supervise program staff and volunteers and provide support to participants.
- Implement in-school and after-school youth development programming; manage logistics, partner compliance, and onsite program quality.
- Design, adapt, and deliver creative curriculum, lesson plans, themed sessions, activities, and field trips tailored to cohort needs and group dynamics.
- Monitor participant progress and program effectiveness; submit weekly reports to the Executive Director on attendance, engagement, academic indicators, and program receptivity.
- Ensure adherence to child safety, risk management, and confidentiality protocols.
- Coordinate site setup and maintenance (room décor, setup/cleanup, seasonal displays) and manage meals/snacks for sessions.
- Maintain accurate participant records in CiviCore (attendance, interactions, grades, and other tracking documents); use data to inform programming and reporting.
- Represent Imagine Me in school and community initiatives; facilitate staff, parent, and student meetings as needed.
- Work flexible hours to support program schedules, events, and occasional evenings/weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, education, nonprofit management, or related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years’ part-time or full-time experience in human services, youth development, or a related field; experience in urban public-school settings preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze program data and prepare clear written reports.
- Comfort working with diverse populations and an understanding of the needs of urban youth.
Preferred
- Experience with CiviCore or similar youth mentoring databases.
- Experience supervising volunteers and coordinating multi-site programs.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid role requiring regular in-person presence at program sites across Baltimore City.
- Must be able to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel between sites.
