An IMLCS Teacher plans, organizes, and implements an appropriate instructional program in an assigned classroom learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. They are data and outcome-driven, using a variety of information to adjust teaching daily to have the largest impact on student learning.
Responsibilities
Instructor
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials, according to the Common Core State Standards, that facilitate active learning environment on a daily basis
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students in the whole group, small group, and individual configurations
- Observe and evaluate student's performance and development through a variety of assessments on a regular basis, with an emphasis on knowing students’ instructional strengths and weaknesses
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of students’ progress and development
- Communicate necessary information regularly and when requested to students, colleagues, supervisors, and parents regarding student progress and student needs
- Prepare required reports on students and classroom activities
