Imagine Healthcare PLLC is a physician-owned, integrative mental health clinic specializing in evidence-based and innovative treatment modalities. The Role

We are seeking a licensed Illinois PMHNP to join our growing practice as the primary psychiatric medication manager for our outpatient caseload. You will work collaboratively with our physicians, therapists, and wellness team to provide medication management, psychiatric evaluation, and treatment planning for adults with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. This is not a high-volume, 15-minute-per-patient mill. We prioritize depth of care, continuity, and evidence-based practice in a setting where you have the autonomy and time to think.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and differential diagnoses
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, including controlled substances
• Manage complex medication regimens, including polypharmacy and treatment-resistant cases
• Participate in care coordination with in-house therapists and referring providers
• Maintain detailed, compliant clinical documentation
• Contribute to clinical protocol development and practice improvement
• Potential for involvement in ketamine infusions and Spravato (esketamine) therapy

Qualifications — Required

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with specialization in psychiatric mental health nursing
• Active Illinois APRN license (current, unrestricted)
• Board certification from ANCC (PMHNP-BC) or equivalent
• Current DEA registration (Schedule II–V authority)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient psychiatric care
• Demonstrated competence in psychopharmacology and medication management
• Ability to prescribe and manage controlled substances independently or under collaborative agreement
• Knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric treatment guidelines (APA, CANMAT, etc.)
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to manage high-complexity patients

Qualifications — Preferred

• Prior experience with ketamine or esketamine (Spravato) therapy
• Experience with neurofeedback or integrative medicine modalities
• Interest in psychedelic medicine
• Interest in functional or integrative psychiatry
• Experience in treating PTSD and treatment-resistant depression

Compensation and Benefits

1099 Contractor:

• $95–$125 per hour (based on experience and credentials)
• Flexible scheduling (part-time with potential for full-time in future)

Logistics

• Credentialing with: Aetna, BCBS Illinois, Cigna, Medicaid (BCCHP), Medicare, UHC, Optum
