We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Overnight Life Skills Trainer in a Group Home setting. As an Overnight Awake Staff, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to residents during the night. This is an important position that requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the residents throughout the night
- Support the residents in building and maintaining a morning routine
- Engage the residents in meal planning and prep
- Administer medications
- Provide behavior support as needed
- Assist with hygiene and personal care
- Transport residents to their day programs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in direct care or social services or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of resident rights preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, their families, and other staff members
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Valid driver's license with active auto insurance
