Imaginative Beginnings Early Learning Center is seeking a full-time Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children, wants hands-on experience in childcare, and is interested in growing in the field of early childhood education.
We are hiring for Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms. Classroom placement is based on experience, interests, and current center needs.
Typical schedule: Most positions follow a consistent daytime schedule (for example, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) within center hours of 5:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

What You Will Do
As a Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside classroom leaders to provide a safe, nurturing, engaging environment and support children throughout their daily routines and learning experiences.
- Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
- Help prepare and facilitate developmentally appropriate learning and play activities
- Supervise children during play, learning, meals, outdoor time, and transitions
- Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment
- Assist with classroom documentation and daily records
- Communicate respectfully with families and team members
- Follow state licensing requirements and center policies
- Work collaboratively with classroom and center leadership to support consistent program quality
Qualifications
Required
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to complete required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention
Preferred - not required
- Previous experience working with children, including childcare, daycare, preschool, school, camp, or similar settings
- Interest in early childhood education or child development
- CDA (Child Development Associate)
- Dependable, patient, caring, and team-oriented attitude
No formal childcare experience is required - we will train the right candidate who is dependable, caring, and eager to learn.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs
- Ability to actively supervise children throughout the day
