Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. You will engage with children to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development while ensuring their well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
Responsibilities
- Operate the classroom in compliance with all child care licensing standards, including Step Up to Quality
- Flexibility is key in this position
- Ensure that child care routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with the good child development principals.
- Ensure the safety of children through constant, active supervision
- Provide excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare or education settings, particularly with preschool or toddler age groups.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong skills in behavior management and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their growth and development.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour
