Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect among children
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that supports learning and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs of infants and toddlers as required
- Follow all licensing regulations and safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure setting for every child
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with children and families
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods while actively supervising children
