Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. You will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans using our provided curriculum
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Manage daily classroom routines, including transitions, snack times, play sessions, and rest periods
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to support positive behavior and conflict resolution
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of child development progress, assessments, and attendance in accordance with mandated reporting laws
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children across various age groups
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that foster positive social interactions
- Experience teaching physical education activities and integrating movement into daily routines
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety standards
Must be able to pass a background check and have a HS Diploma!
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
