We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Childcare Director to lead our early childhood education center. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the center’s operations to ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children, families, and staff. The Childcare Director will ensure full compliance with state licensing regulations, promote high-quality learning experiences, and support a positive, professional culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the childcare center, including staffing, classroom management, and facility upkeep

• Ensure full compliance with all state childcare licensing standards and regulations

• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate teaching staff; provide ongoing support and professional development

• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with families; communicate regularly and professionally about children’s progress and center updates

• Guide curriculum planning and implementation to support children’s learning, development, and school readiness

• Manage administrative functions such as enrollment, budgeting, tuition collection, and record-keeping

• Plan and coordinate center-wide events, parent meetings, and staff training sessions

• Promote a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and families

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred)

• Current Texas Director’s Credential or equivalent, as required by licensing

• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role

• Deep understanding of child development principles, licensing standards, and best practices in early education

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Must pass background checks and meet all state health and safety requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
