Principal Scientist - USA

Imagene is seeking a Translational Scientist to join our Science Team and play a central role in advancing the integration of cutting-edge AI capabilities into healthcare-driven projects and AI-based solutions. In this role, you will lead collaborative initiatives with academic and biopharma partners, provide scientific oversight from study design through data interpretation, and contribute directly to the development and implementation of Imagene’s AI-based solutions. The position combines scientific leadership with hands-on involvement, requiring the ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This opportunity is ideal for a scientist with a strong record of scientific excellence, cross-disciplinary fluency and deep curiosity about the convergence of biology, data science and AI.

Responsibilities:

• Provide scientific support for the development of AI-driven solutions and research by integrating scientific expertise with advanced cutting-edge methodologies.
• Lead collaborative projects with academic and biopharma partners, ensuring strong clinical and scientific alignment, high-quality deliverable and clear scientific communication.
• Provide end-to-end scientific oversight across partner projects, from defining the scientific rationale and project design, through data collection and alignment with AI model development requirements, to data analysis, interpretation and delivery of comprehensive scientific reports and insights.
• Guide data analysis and interpretation to effectively integrate biological and clinical concepts with data analysis and bridge the gap between basic scientific research and clinical applications, ensuring relevance for AI-based healthcare products.
• Collaborate with computational biologists to generate actionable insights from multi-omics analyses, with a focus on oncology and translational research, ensuring methodological rigor and meaningful outcomes.
• Design, author and review scientific materials such as posters and publications, ensuring alignment with Imagene’s AI-solution offerings and maintaining high scientific standards.
  
  

Requirements:

• PhD in life sciences, biomedical or related field.
• 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment, in areas such as drug discovery, translational biology or clinical research.
• Strong analytical skills, including data interpretation, visualization and critical evaluation of scientific literature.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and influencing cross-functional scientific projects.
• Familiarity with clinical trial and biomarker studies within the biopharmaceutical or diagnostics industry.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in standard software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in the analysis and interpretation of omics data - advantage
