We are seeking an experienced, high impact HRIS Director to join our senior-level HR team.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Director of HRIS is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for optimizing the full lifecycle of the Dayforce platform across the enterprise. This role leads the design, governance, and continuous improvement of HR systems and ensures they effectively support key HR functions including payroll, time & attendance, benefits, talent, and workforce analytics. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Dayforce configuration, deployment, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS Strategy & System Ownership
- Own the strategic roadmap and daily operations of Dayforce across all modules (Core HR, Payroll, Time, Benefits, Talent, etc.).
- Translate HR and business requirements into scalable Dayforce system solutions that support workforce growth, compliance, and efficiency.
- Evaluate and optimize existing configurations, drive system enhancements, and manage ongoing vendor relationships.
Platform Management & Data Governance
- Serve as primary liaison to Dayforce and internal IT partners for system upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure data accuracy, system security, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, FLSA, EEO, GDPR).
- Establish and enforce data standards, reporting protocols, and system permissions across HR modules.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and deliver dashboards, standard reports, and advanced analytics to support business needs in workforce planning, retention, and compensation.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to enable a data-driven HR function using Dayforce tools and data exports.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead system integration projects across payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and talent modules with IT, Finance, and third-party vendors.
- Act as Dayforce subject matter expert (SME) for HR initiatives such as open enrollment, performance cycles, compensation reviews, and M&A integrations.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Build and lead a team of HRIS analysts and administrators responsible for Dayforce configuration, support tickets, and training.
- Oversee SLAs, manage external consultants, and ensure a strong change management approach for system updates or launches.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8 years of progressive HRIS experience with at least 3 years managing a team.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Dayforce, including system administration, configuration, and implementation.
- Proven track record managing multiple Dayforce modules (Core HR, Payroll, T&A, Benefits, Compensation, Talent).
- Strong project management skills, with demonstrated success in leading system upgrades or new module deployments.
- In-depth understanding of HR operations, payroll cycles, compliance regulations, and data privacy requirements.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Dayforce certification(s) strongly preferred
- Familiarity with API integrations, data mapping, and middleware tools
- Experience implementing analytics or dashboard capabilities within Dayforce
- Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or related tools a plus
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or HRIP certification desirable
