Position Overview: 

The Controller is primarily responsible for preparing accurate, timely financial statements each month including managing the daily financial activities (AR, AP, Accounting, etc.) of the company. They will also be tasked with preparing annual budgets, cash forecasting and other financial analysis. The Controller will work directly with operations and ownership as an essential member of the team. For the right candidate, the controller has a path to the CFO position in the next 5 years. 

Responsibilities: 

• Supervise the Payroll AP, AR and Accounting staff. 

• Work with management team to develop budgets and forecasts 

• Implement and maintain financial controls and guidelines 

• Conduct monthly closing activities 

• Work with IT to implement and maintain financial systems 

• Ensure compliance with governmental agencies 

• Reconcile bank accounts 

• Generate monthly financial statements 

• Report financial results for all companies and divisions 

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger 

• Stay current with tax laws 

• Coordinate annual tax returns with CPA 

• Prepare annual cost reports

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in business management, accounting or finance. CPA preferred 

• 5 years of supervisory work experience in a finance or accounting field 

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
