Asphalt Paving Lead / Paving Pro
Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity | Rockford, IL
Image Pro’s is looking for an experienced Paving Pro to take on a key role in our asphalt division.
This is not an entry-level crew position. We’re looking for someone who understands the full paving process, can help lead jobs from demolition and grading through final paving, and is comfortable taking responsibility in the field.
You’ll work alongside an established crew and company leadership, with the expectation that you can help keep jobs organized, moving, and completed to a high standard.
What You’ll Do
- Help lead residential and commercial asphalt paving projects from start to finish
- Oversee demolition and removal of existing asphalt
- Help establish proper grade, drainage, base preparation, and transitions
- Operate the paving machine and other asphalt equipment
- Coordinate crew workflow during paving
- Monitor asphalt placement, depth, edges, transitions, and finish
- Identify field issues and make adjustments as conditions change
- Help keep projects safe, efficient, and on schedule
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members on-site
What We’re Looking For
- Previous asphalt paving experience required
- Strong understanding of grading, paving, and site preparation
- Experience operating paving equipment
- Leadership experience or the ability to step into a lead role
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to make decisions in the field and take ownership of the work
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing conditions
- CDL license required
