Role Description
Image Audiovisuals is the new exclusive rigging provider for the Colorado Convention Center! As the in-house production partner for over 15 years, we bring deep knowledge of the building and strong working relationships that support safe, efficient event execution.
We are seeking a Rigging Manager to join our onsite team. This role is responsible for the safety, compliance, and execution of all rigging services within the convention center ballrooms. The Rigging Manager will oversee rigging design approvals, labor coordination, and onsite supervision, ensuring all work meets established load limits and industry safety standards.
Key Job Responsibilities
·Perform load calculations and approve working load limits for events.
·Build and review rigging designs using Vectorworks to ensure compliance with ballroom limitations
·Enter and manage rigging equipment orders in the rental system
·Schedule union labor through IATSE Local 7, with a strong understanding of union rules and regulations
·Supervise rigging crews onsite as needed or coordinate supervision coverage
·Attend site visits and planning meetings to advise clients on rigging capabilities and constraints within the space
·Maintain strong working relationships with convention center staff, union representatives, and event partners
·Serve as a consistent leader for convention center production services related to rigging
·Stay current on industry safety standards and ensure compliance across all rigging activity
·Oversee annual inspection and certification of rigging equipment
·Provide recommendations on equipment purchases to support safety, efficiency, and event demand
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in rigging in either entertainment, theatrical or production environment
- Lift certification
- Lift operation experience
- Ground operation experience
- High rigging with harness experience
- Working knowledge of drafting software with a focus on Vectorworks
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers and leadership teams
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office
