What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at Image Associates Inc.?
Local manufacturer needs a Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate activities including systems fabrication and mechanical assembly. Will provide engineering support to improve product quality and reduce production costs.
- Conducts studies to maximize work flow and process utilization
- Develop BOM costs for new products. Maintain accurate BOM for all products.
- Design fixtures for new and existing products
- Design, install and start-up of new equipment and processes
- Participates in product launches
- Develops work instructions
- Designs assembly fixtures and manufacturing equipment
- Work on plant layout and process improvement projects
- Reviews production reports and solves manufacturing and maintenance problems, reducing costs and preventing shipping delays
- Develops safe work practices. Seek opportunities for improvements in product and process quality.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, other Bachelor of Engineering, or four-year degree in a similar field.
- Five years’ experience working in manufacturing, and specifically in the manufacturing of electromechanical devices
- Circuit board assembly experience is a plus.
- Experience with tooling, fixtures.
- Experience or knowledge about lean manufacturing, line balancing, process flow.
