What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Superintendent position at IMA Brookwood Golf Club?
IMA Brookwood Golf Course is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent starting late 2025 or early 2026.
The ideal candidate would be self-motivated and a “hands-on’ Superintendent that leads by example. You will work to create an environment where staff is fully trained with each job, involved and enthusiastic, and an open line of communications to the staff. The superintendent must be able to respond quickly to any situation that arises on the golf course.
Essential Job Functions:
A minimum of two years of experience in golf course management and turf cultural practices. Prefer a member of the GCSAA.
Planning, organizing, and directing maintenance personnel in all areas of work on the golf course.
Overseeing a mechanic regarding the repair / maintenance of all equipment for the facility.
Procuring and managing all supplies and materials that are used in the daily operation of the golf course.
Protecting the company’s interest by an awareness of and compliance with all applicable regulations including course and company policies.
Must be certified and /or licensed for pesticide usage.
Knowledge of irrigation including watering practices, irrigation systems, pumps, wells and automatic controls / drainage.
Train staff on safe operation of golf course equipment and daily care of equipment.
Managing golf course employees including interview, hire, training, and any disciplinary issues as needed.
Control and reduce expenses as necessary. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 / year (based on experience)
Insurance: Individual up to $750 / month
