REPORTS TO: Project Manager

Position Summary

An Electrician/Low Voltage Technician at IM Solutions is responsible for installing AV/IT projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction methodologies and electrical installation in commercial and residential projects. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal soft skills and a commitment to upholding our company’s core values. Your electrical skills will be challenged as you are trained in new building lighting controls and theater lighting technology of the future. This position offers growth opportunity with IM Solutions as a Level 1-3 Technician of AV/IT projects and many growth paths beyond.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Manage electrical and low voltage projects and installations
  • Cable management and documentation
  • Install building technology, specifically AV/IT systems, building automation controls, IT Networks
  • Perform inventory management of equipment and transport to jobsite in a safe and secure manner
  • Provide leadership assistance to other technicians as required
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience installing and troubleshooting Electrical/Low Voltage Systems (Journeyman's License preferred but not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction methodology and commercial structured cabling
  • Systems knowledge and experience with IT networking, Access controls, CCTV CMS, VoIP and VTC Communication Systems
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety and OSHA regulations
  • Strong computer skills to manage project reports - This is a must - Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word
  • A passion for technology and self-initiative towards continuing education
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with employees, customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well independently and in team settings
  • Proficiency in MIS tools such as ERP, BMS, CRM, and MS Office
  • Adaptability to technology advancements and changing project requirements

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to drive a company provided fleet vehicle
  • Ability to load and unload equipment weighing a minimum of 35 pounds.
  • Be able to regularly climb, descend and work from ladders or lifts up to heights of 25 feet
  • Ability to work with a safety harness in bucket or boom lift
