Commerce Strategist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ecommerce Strategist to join our growing team. In this mid-level management role, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative ecommerce strategies that drive growth and profitability for our clients. You will leverage deep understanding of market trends and data-driven insights to provide strategic guidance and foster long-term partnerships with our clients.

• Starting at $85k/year

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead the ecommerce strategy for a portfolio of clients, focusing on sustainable growth and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive analysis, and create new opportunities for growth.
• Translate complex data and market insights into clear, actionable recommendations and strategic roadmaps for clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client teams, acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite level executives.
• Participate in client workshops, presentations, and strategic planning sessions with confidence and expertise (this will require travel).
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams (including marketing, design, and technology) to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
• Define key metrics for success and establish a framework for ongoing measurement and reporting to track performance and inform future strategy.
• Stay at the forefront of the ecommerce industry, continuously evaluating new technologies, platforms, and best practices to keep our clients ahead of the curve.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
• 5 years of professional experience in a strategic role, such as a Business Analyst, Ecommerce Manager, or a similar position.
• Experience working in a digital agency or within an in-house ecommerce team for a brand is highly preferred.
• A proven track record of developing and implementing successful ecommerce strategies that have driven measurable growth.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to a senior audience.
• Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles and a proven ability to build rapport and trust with C-suite level executives.
• A deep understanding of the ecommerce landscape, including platforms (e.g., Shopify), digital marketing channels, and analytics tools.
• A strategic and creative thinker with a passion for problem-solving and innovation.
