- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related field)
- 10 years of engineering experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing
- 3 years of leadership or management experience
- Strong expertise in special processes: thermal spray, chemical processing (plating, anodizing, passivation), and coatings
- Experience with aerospace quality systems and standards (Nadcap, ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Proven experience supporting or leading audits (customer, regulatory, and third-party)

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing, process, and quality engineers
- Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Oversee engineering support for production to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery
- Drive process optimization across thermal spray, chemical processing, and coating technologies
- Partner with production, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve technical challenges
- Ensure alignment with Nadcap, ISO 9001, and AS9100 requirements
- Lead and support audits, including customer, regulatory, and third-party audits
- Maintain proper process validation, documentation, and certification compliance
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives
- Implement data-driven improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and cycle times
- Manage CAPEX projects, including equipment upgrades, automation, and process enhancements
- Align engineering initiatives with business objectives
- Support quoting, feasibility analysis, and process development for new programs
- Ensure successful transition from development to full-scale production
- Review and approve engineering documentation, work instructions, and process flows
- Serve as a technical point of contact for customers
- Support customer audits and technical reviews
- Oversee supplier technical performance and qualification processes
- Experience with Nadcap accreditation and audits
- Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or Lean certification
- Strong knowledge of process validation and control plans
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
