Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounts receivable function; application of payments, investigate and clear deductions, process invoices via customer’s portals, chargebacks and review new customer orders
- Support Executive Management with prompt and clear analysis and reporting on accounts receivable, promotions and deductions, and the cash cycle
- Provide direction in establishing and maintaining suitable credit limits for customers
- Assist in month-end closing process, which involves managing month-end entries and processing accounts receivable, order entry and inventory control in a timely manner according to the monthly financial calendar
- Manage the invoice cycle from posting invoices to receiving payments and handling customer accounts
- Present and analyze various accounts receivable data, such as aging analysis, delinquency reports, reconciliation reports, and status reports
- Review, revise and implement policies and procedures, in accordance with the illy Credit and Collections Policies & Procedures guide
- Manage the accounts receivable balance within acceptable parameters, such as DSO, and make decisions on credit terms, write-offs, and collections
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to support the company goals and initiatives
- Oversee the administrative, operational, and developmental aspects of the team, as well as provide guidance and innovation for their career fulfillment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred
- 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and credit management or a similar role in a consumer product setting
- Strong knowledge of processing deductions and chargebacks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software programs: JDEdwards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work activities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
