Essential Job Functions
- Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.
- Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
- Responsible for on-call services, as assigned.
- Develop spiritual programs that meet the needs of our hospice patients.
- Establish and maintain a close working relationship with the churches or faith groups in the community served.
- Comply with all regulations pertaining to the healthcare facilities where we are providing spiritual services to our hospice patients.
- When and where applicable, participate in Ecumenical Clergy groups in the community served.
- Provide spiritual support to staff as the need arises.
- Provide Bereavement services to the families of hospice patients.
- Performs other similar duties, as needed.
- Commitment to quality outcomes and services for all individuals.
- Ability to relate well to all individuals.
- Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Ordained pastor in good standing with their religious organization required.
- Endorsement as a chaplain by respective religious denomination preferred.
- Board Certified Chaplain preferred.
- Experience and comfort in working with seniors required.
- 2-3 years of experience in working in a retirement community preferred.
- Completion of at least one Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education preferred.
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or based on patient's needs
- 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE (32 to 40 hours a week)
$29.07 to $36.07 / hourly (higher pay may be considered depending on qualifications and experience)
