Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Tree Climber to join our landscape lighting maintenance team. This role involves working at heights to prune, remove, and maintain trees, as well as installing and adjusting lighting fixtures within the trees, ensuring the health and safety of our clients' properties and providing lighting as called for by design. Ideal candidates will have a passion for precision, along with experience in climbing and general electrical knowledge is preferred. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialized skills in arboriculture and electrical work while contributing to high-quality landscape lighting and design services.
Responsibilities
- Safely climb trees using appropriate rigging and climbing techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal tasks as well as lighting installation.
- Confirm adequate operation of lighting installation
- Implement rigging procedures for safe removal of large branches or trees
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry best practices
- Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are properly stored and maintained after use

Requirements
- Proven experience in tree climbing
- Electrical knowledge is preferred
- Ability to work at heights safely and efficiently
- Physical ability to climb trees, lift heavy equipment or branches, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Relevant certifications or training in arboriculture or tree climbing is advantageous
- Commitment to safety protocols
- Willing to travel Long Island, Connecticut and surrounding areas
