The schedule for this role will be Saturday - Wednesday from 10:30AM to 7:00PM.

Job Description
The Cook 1 is responsible for assisting with all kitchen operations to ensure daily tasks are completed.
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
The schedule for this role will be Saturday - Wednesday from 10:30AM to 7:00PM.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of morning, afternoon and evening meals
- Assist with maintaining the kitchen to all Food Safety standards set by funders and The OC Health Care Agency
- Provide food during meal times
- Assist with maintaining proper inventory of special dietary needs and supplies for the site
- Attend all meetings and training as requested
- Work with site staff to complete kitchen tasks as directed by the Cook/Kitchen Coordinator
- Ensures food ingredients are stored in their designated area and rotated in the proper manner
- Assist Cook/Kitchen Coordinator with weekly inventory as requested
- Communicate client needs to Cook/Kitchen Coordinator
- Work with and create a welcoming environment for volunteers
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Responsible for communicating client needs and reported complaints to direct supervisor
- Work in alignment with the company’s Guiding Principles
- Attain the goals as set forth by management. Seek and follow management coaching toward increased productivity
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a restaurant or catering setting
- Some managerial/leadership experience
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to send and receive emails and summarize data in spreadsheets
- Valid CA Driver’s License and eligibility for company vehicle insurance
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
