Role Description The Mental Health Therapist will provide part-time, or full-time hybrid services, primarily based in Peoria, IL with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, completing intake assessments, and developing person-centered treatment plans. The role involves ongoing case management, coordination of care with other providers, and documentation of clinical services in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. The therapist will monitor client progress, adjust interventions as needed, and participate in team consultations or supervision. This position requires adherence to ethical guidelines, maintenance of clear boundaries, and commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed practice.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health and Social Work, including assessment, diagnosis (as applicable to licensure), and client advocacy.
- Ability to develop and implement effective Treatment Planning that reflects client goals, strengths, and evidence-based interventions.
- Experience in Case Management, including coordinating services, referrals, and community resources to support client needs.
- Proficiency in Family Therapy approaches, facilitating communication, conflict resolution, and healthy relationship patterns.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; appropriate state licensure or licensure eligibility in Illinois (e.g., LCSW, LCPC, LMFT) preferred.
- Strong documentation skills, including timely and accurate clinical notes and treatment records.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
