Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including patient examinations, contact lens fittings, and utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment. This role involves direct communication with clients, managing electronic medical records, and delivering high-quality optometric care in a professional environment. The position offers same-day payment and typically involves seeing 10-17 patients per day.
Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and overall eye health.
- Perform contact lens fittings and provide guidance on lens selection and care.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as Optos, OCT, and visual field testing to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain findings, treatment options, and answer questions.
- Manage patient information accurately using EMR/EHR systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient care and clinic operations.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as an Optometrist in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience in general optometry practice, including contact lens fitting.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and record keeping.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment such as Optos, OCT, and visual fields is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality care.
