Visiting Research Engineer - Mechanical Science and Engineering

Duties & Responsibilities

•  Design software architecture based on deep machine learning and artificial intelligence to interpret vision data from manufacturing processes and systems.
•  Design robotic systems that capture vision information from manufacturing machines and manufactured components.
•  Build and test computer vision deep machine learning workflows to scale technology.
•  Prepare presentations and write reports and publications.
•  Travel to attend meetings with sponsors and partners, to learn about emerging technologies.
•  Design, test, and implement software quality control systems for manufacturing computer vision. Assume appropriate related duties to further the mission of the department.
