What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Clinical Provider- MIST Therapy position at ILLINOIS URGENT CARE LLC?
We are seeking a dedicated MIST Therapy Specialist to provide non-contact, low-frequency ultrasound wound therapy across multiple skilled nursing facilities. This role involves traveling between facilities, transporting, and setting up the MIST Therapy machine, and delivering treatments to patients as part of their wound care plan. The specialist will also assess new admissions, collaborate with facility staff, and ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel between assigned skilled nursing facilities to administer MIST Therapy wound care treatments.
- Set up and operate the MIST Therapy machine, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety protocols.
- Review patient lists and provide wound assessments and treatment as prescribed.
- Conduct wound evaluations for new admissions and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Document treatment progress, patient response, and any necessary adjustments in the patient’s medical records.
- Educate patients, families, and facility staff on MIST Therapy benefits and proper wound care practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and wound care teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and infection control standards related to wound care treatments.
- Participate in ongoing education and training related to wound care and MIST Therapy advancements.
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Prior experience in wound care or ultrasound-based treatments preferred.
- Strong understanding of wound healing protocols and advanced wound care techniques.
- Ability to transport, set up, and operate the MIST Therapy machine.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel between multiple facilities.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
