What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Illinois Telephone Corporation?
Accounting Clerk - Moday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
Post payments to our billing software
Reconcile posted payments with open invoices
Stage invoices to be printed or emailed
Review staged invoices for errors prior to printing
Print and mail invoices
Take incoming calls from customers wanting to pay their bill
Process credit card payments
Answer incoming calls from customers and route to appropriate person or department
Other duties as assigned by Finance Manager
Skills
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized and reliable
- Has own transportation
- Is familiar with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel
- Has some knowledge of the Telecommunications industry (Perhaps worked for AT&T or Verizon etc.)
- High school degree

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
