Duties
- Install new garage doors and openers, including framing, hanging doors, and securing hardware using hand tools and power tools
- Perform metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and fixture installation as needed for custom setups
- Use electrical experience for wiring openers, sensors, and safety features in compliance with safety standards
- Lift heavy doors or components safely while following proper ergonomic practices
- Read construction schematics to determine the correct placement of hardware and structural elements
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Requirements
- Proven experience in new garage doors and openers installation
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical systems relevant to garage door installation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different project requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred for transporting materials and equipment
