## Essential Functions

• Under administrative direction, serves as a Senior Technical Support
  
  

for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), supporting the

Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal (OSFM), providing a full

range of complex, professional, and advisory functions in IT

application services.

• Serves as a technical liaison with vendors, coordinating complex
  
  

support activities and issue escalations to align solutions with

agency objectives.

• Analyzes system issues and recommends improved procedures and
  
  

techniques to enhance supported application systems.

• Serves as a primary support resource for both scheduled and remedial
  
  

maintenance of assigned applications.

• Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology
  
  

field by continuing education through online training platforms,

meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase

familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors,

techniques, and procedures.

• Attends demonstrations and exhibitions related to assigned
  
  

operations.

• Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably
  
  

within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

## Minimum Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to
  
  

four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or

directly related fields.

• Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Application
  
  

Services or a related Information Technology field.
