Freshmen Class Sponsor - High School

Summary

This position is responsible for providing scholastic growth, leadership, and to promote school sponsored

activities. These positions are renewed on a yearly basis by the Board of Education.

Duties

• Supervise the school-sponsored activities for the associated club.
• Determine the role of club officers and conduct the election of club officers.
• Establish club goals and plans for social and other activities related to the club.
• Promote students to participate in school-sponsored activities as well as in the community.
• Conduct meetings at least once a month to discuss plans for future meetings and events.
• Work with the activity's director in scheduling, providing transportation and requirements for local and
  
  

state sponsored events.

• Help clubs plan fundraisers, school events, and other activities.
• Assist the club to develop a budget for their activities and events.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned by administration.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions.
• Enforce school regulations and policies in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate ability to deal with sensitive issues in a tactful and professional manner.
• Address concerns and offer suggestions in an appropriate and confidential manner.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupils.
• Ability to communicate to students, parents and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to push and pull up to 10 lbs.

The work hours for this position vary by season and scheduling.
