Job Summary:
At ILLING, business is personal. The National Account Manager plays a key role in nurturing and expanding relationships with large, multi-location customers. This role ensures that every interaction reflects our commitment to Extraordinary Attention, to needs, resources, time, and detail, while driving profitable growth and sustaining long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain productive, professional relationships with key customer contacts across national and strategic accounts.
- Deeply understand each customer’s business to identify opportunities that deliver value beyond the expected.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration, including customer service, marketing, operations, and leadership, to ensure account satisfaction and performance goals are met.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with company growth objectives and sales targets.
- Prospect and onboard new accounts, while maintaining strong, ongoing communication with current customers to ensure loyalty and retention.
- Partner with marketing to design and implement digital and account-based marketing strategies that drive visibility and engagement.
- Accurately forecast sales performance and maintain CRM data integrity to support reporting and business planning.
- Deliver a responsive, solution-oriented customer experience that builds trust and provides peace of mind.
- Perform additional duties and initiatives as assigned to support the broader team and company goals.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proven success managing large or multi-location accounts with a focus on relationship-driven, solution-based selling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to listen deeply, engage confidently, and close the loop quickly.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities; capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with HubSpot CRM or similar platforms strongly preferred.
- A proactive, disciplined, and collaborative mindset that aligns with ILLING’s brand values of trust, innovation, flexibility, and accountability.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to a flexible schedule as needed.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Six or more years of sales or account management experience.
- At least two years in the rigid packaging industry or a related field preferred.
