Account Manager

Job Summary:

The National Accounts Manager oversees the company’s effort to maintain and expand relationships with large, multi-location customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Establishes productive, professional relationships with key contacts at accounts.

· Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet the customers’ expectations.

· Achieves account-specific sales goals.

· Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.

· Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings to meet company standards.

· Prospects new accounts and visits current accounts to grow and maintain relationships.

· Work with marketing on developing and implementing a strategy for internet marketing.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficiency in operating software, MS-Word and MS-Excel.

Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Education and Experience:

Six or more years of related sales experience.

2 or more years of experience within rigid packaging industry or related field required.

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

This position requires travel and, therefore, a personal vehicle is required.

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

Position may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
