What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restructuring Attorney position at Illapa Search?
The Opportunity:
A market leading Vault ranked global law firm are looking to onboard an Associate to join their Restructuring & Special Situations Finance practice group. The position is located in their Dallas, Texas office.
The firm has a global platform with 21 offices globally and established with over 1,900 attorneys. The firm has been recognised by several award publications with a number of their practice areas and attorneys ranked as elite, including their Restructuring practice group named in Band 4 of the Chambers USA 2025 edition.
The position pays on scale and offers a generous compensation package.
Requirements of the Role:
- A minimum of two years of law firm experience.
- Significant experience representing creditors or borrowers in connection with liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings and/or special situations financings.
- Confident on working on high profile, top of the capital structure representations, including representing hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds and other financial institutions in both chapter 11 cases and out of court restructurings.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and support senior partners.
- Hold a relevant JD and be admitted to the Texas bar (or able to waive into the Texas bar).
