The Position:

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking Energy Regulatory Associate to join its Washington, DC office. This role offers the opportunity to advise leading energy companies, utilities, private equity sponsors, developers, and financial institutions on complex regulatory and transactional matters across the power, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors. Associates will work on a broad range of issues involving the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), state utility commissions, energy market regulation, transmission and interconnection matters, project development, and regulatory aspects of mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other strategic transactions.


Associates will play a key role in high-profile matters shaping the evolving energy landscape, including issues related to renewable generation, battery storage, grid modernization, and energy transition initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidates will possess strong academic credentials.
  • Exceptional analytical and drafting skills, and experience in energy regulatory, project development, infrastructure, or related corporate and regulatory matters.
  • D.C. Bar Required.
