Iliuliuk Family & Health Services (IFHS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to provide locum tenens coverage for the community of Unalaska/Port of Dutch Harbor and the Bering Sea fishing fleet. IFHS is an FQHC that also provides 24/7 urgent and emergent care, serving a remote island community with a wide range of medical needs.
This position requires an APP with a strong clinical background, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a rural setting and confident managing patients of all ages with both primary and acute care needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary careand acute care to patients across the lifespan
- Deliver urgent and emergency careas part of a 24/7 on‑call rotation
- Work independently while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other providers
- Adapt to a rural, resource‑limitedhealthcare environment
- Support the medical needs of island residents and the commercial fishing fleet
Requirements
- Current Alaska license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Current DEA license
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
- Current ATLS certification
- Strong clinical judgment and comfort with autonomous practice
