Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to toddlers and infants, incorporating curriculum development principles and early childhood education standards.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and staff, providing guidance on classroom management, child welfare, and instructional techniques.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications.
- Maintain accurate records of child development milestones, attendance, assessments, and standardized testing results to monitor progress and inform instruction.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including toddler care and preschool environments.
- Strong background in curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori or other specialized teaching methods.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Classroom management expertise with the ability to create an organized, nurturing learning environment.
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential.
- Experience with classroom experience involving physical education activities or tutoring is a plus.
- Familiarity with preschool teaching standards, daycare practices, private school environments, and standardized testing procedures is preferred.
