Position Summary:
The Sponsorship Sales Manager will lead sponsorship strategy and sales for our growing portfolio of food, wine/beer/liquor, crafts, and lifestyle festivals. This role is responsible for generating substantial sponsorship revenue, building high-level partnerships, and integrating sponsors seamlessly into event experiences that align with the ilani brand. This role will be the driving force behind identifying, pitching, negotiating, and managing sponsorship relationships by leveraging your industry knowledge, relationship-building skills, and sales acumen to help make ilani festivals a regional and national success.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promotes superior guest service.
  • Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
  • Conduct competitive market research and analysis both regionally and nationally to inform sponsorship strategy and offerings.
  • Solicit and negotiate sponsorship deals from a database of hundreds of active and potential clients cultivated over six years.
  • Consistently deliver $75,000-$125,000 in sponsorship sales property wide, meeting, or exceeding revenue targets with a focus on added value and leveraging property assets.
  • Build and produce custom, compelling 10-30-page sponsor decks and media kits for presentation to prospective partners.
  • Serve as the on-site sponsor liaison during events, ensuring fulfillment of all activations and deliverables.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of casino and resort operations to tailor sponsorship offerings that align with ilani’s property goals and guest experience.
  • Attend and contribute to all major sponsor, exhibitor, and culinary team meetings and calls to ensure cohesive planning and execution.
  • Create and execute sponsorship agreements, working closely with legal and finance teams.
  • Assist in sponsor invoicing and collections to ensure timely payments and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with media and advertising teams to integrate sponsors into broader marketing and promotional campaigns.
  • Proactively build and foster community and business relationships to enhance event visibility and partner engagement.
  • Work with agents and representatives to solicit local, regional, and national chef talent, negotiating appearances and contractual terms.
  • Integrate sponsorships into other casino-wide initiatives such as car giveaways, cross-promotions, and resort activations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a hospitality/tourism/sales/marketing focus and five (5) years of experience in a sales, promotion, or business development position in a high-volume, complex environment or larger commercial enterprise, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience negotiating sponsorship agreements for events and festivals in a high-volume hospitality environment, including the execution of all elements in said agreements as they relate to advertising, promotions, and finance.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a creative, motivated, and passionate approach.
  • Possess a full understanding of contract negotiations.
  • Knowledge of advertising strategies and marketing initiatives.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before small and large groups of people.
  • Must be able to work in a group office environment and independently.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in all elements – heat, cold, rain, etc.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays during events as needed.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be able to travel local and regionally for client meetings and activations.
  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
  • Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience negotiating sponsorship agreements in a casino environment .
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role.
