Responsibilities
- Perform order picking, packing, and staging using RF scanners and order picker equipment to ensure timely shipment of products.
- Load and unload trucks safely using pallet jacks, reach trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry into warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar software.
- Conduct stock replenishment, cycle counts, and inventory audits to uphold optimal stock levels and accuracy.
- Prepare shipments by packaging products according to shipping & receiving standards, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and customer specifications.
- Assist with shipping logistics by coordinating with carriers, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery schedules are met.
- Support warehouse operations by organizing storage areas, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace aligned with safety protocols.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes related to warehouse activities.
- Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse distribution processes and optimize workflow efficiency.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution center is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Familiarity with inventory management software, warehouse management systems (WMS), or ERP systems such as AS400 is highly advantageous.
- Basic math skills are essential for counting stock accurately and processing transactions efficiently.
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, or order pickers is a plus; certification is preferred but not required—training will be available for qualified candidates.
- Knowledge of shipping logistics, order fulfillment procedures, and trade compliance regulations enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Strong data entry skills combined with customer service orientation help ensure precise recordkeeping and positive interactions with internal teams and external carriers.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards is crucial for success in this role.
