The role ensures high-quality images for physician review and provides technical support to patients, doctors, and nursing staff during interventional procedures in the Radiology Department. Here's what you'll do Key Responsibilities: Procedure Preparation: Set up imaging equipment, trays, and supplies to ensure safety and efficiency. Equipment Operation: Operate and troubleshoot imaging systems with technical proficiency. Contrast Media Handling: Assist with preparation and administration of contrast agents per guidelines; label all medications accurately. Patient Care: Assess and provide age-appropriate care, minimizing radiation exposure. Patient Identification: Confirm identity using two identifiers before procedures. Patient Assistance: Help with safe transfers between beds, carts, and exam tables. Imaging Technique: Apply correct protocols and immobilization techniques based on patient age. Here's what you'll need: Education & Experience: Required: Associate’s degree or equivalent training through work experience or education 1–2 years of related experience Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology 3–5 years of related experience Licensure/Certifications: Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA) Preferred: Certified Vascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT) Computer Skills: Basic keyboarding skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word Compensation: Salary Range: $30.00 - $57.00 per hour Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
