Business Development / Key Account Manager (Full-Time, In-Office)

Location : Baldwin Park, California

We are seeking a Key Account Manager – Business Development to join our team. This is an onsite-only role with a primary focus on business-to-business sales, targeting distributors, name brands, and multi-state or vertically integrated operators.

Position Details

  • Job Type : Full-Time (Onsite Only)
  • Schedule : Monday-Friday, 9 : 00 AM - 6 : 00 PM
  • Exemption Status : Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and acquire new key accounts via lead generation, cold-calling, and other strategic methods.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline while achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
  • Close new business deals and develop tailored solutions to meet key clients' needs.
  • Build long-term, professional relationships with key accounts.
  • Understand and address client needs, offering customized merchandising and solutions.
  • Handle customer issues, complaints, and concerns effectively and promptly.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Provide regular progress updates and detailed work plans to the department leader.
  • Travel locally and nationally for meetings and trade shows as required.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by the department leader.
  • Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
  • Proven track record in business development and sales, especially with high-level customers.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring and closing new business deals.
  • Strong business judgment and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Consultative problem-solver with a customer-focused approach.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate client needs (evenings, weekends, holidays).
