Job Description Role: Maintenance Technician Shift: 4pm-2am Job Summary: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will maintain production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Learning about site-specific equipment and how it should properly function. Maintaining smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment Troubleshooting specific industrial equipment by using precise measuring and testing instruments Dismantling and reassembling of equipment using hand and power tools. Inspecting and assessing the wear and remaining useful life of various power transmission components Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with the Company’s procedures, rules, and regulations. Qualifications The position is subject to 24-hour call-out, shift, and weekend work. Must be able to stand for long periods. Must be able to climb stairs and work in high-up areas. Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices 3 years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment Millwright skills, welding and machining experience preferred Excellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipment Ability to read and understand detailed repair & instruction manuals Must be able to work with computer-based maintenance software Must supply own hand tools appropriate to the equipment and environment Benefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
