Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Project Architect to join our Columbus office and lead architectural projects from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design, construction, and project management, with expertise in various architectural software and industry standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including renovation, interior design, and new construction, contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable architectural solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from schematic design through construction administration with responsibility for plans, specifications, and construction approvals
- Apply advanced architectural knowledge to resolve technical issues and guide design decisions
- Mentor and coordinate project staff; may supervise a small team of architects and technicians
- Ensure all design deliverables meet project requirements for schedule, budget, and scope
- Oversee project specifications, data gathering, and analysis
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and QA activities, incorporating review comments
- Navigate jurisdictional and regulatory requirements (NFPA, IBC, FGI, and other applicable codes)
- Act independently on architectural methods and complexities while collaborating closely with Principals and Project Managers
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect with 6 years of professional experience as a Project Architect or similar role within architectural firms or construction companies.
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture (professional degree from an accredited program)
- Demonstrated expertise in technical design, documentation, and quality control
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, Microsoft Office 365, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

Salary: $74,800 – $90,000
Workplace Type: Hybrid - 3 days/week in-person at our Columbus, OH office.
